Beta 13 is available, fixing issues reported by the beta testers
I'd planned more for Beta 13, but there were a couple issues reported by you guys that really merited a quicker release. So, apologies to those hoping for hexes in Beta 13. They're still on the short list.
New dice macros weren't saving for some folks. Thanks to an error report and diagnostics collected by one of the testers, this issue is resolved.
Oddly, no one complained about this, but it was in an automated error report. If you erased the last stroke of a drawing, you got an error message and--at least in my testing--you had no good way of recovering from that except to restart EpicTable. Very nasty. Fixed now.
When something reasonably terrible happens, EpicTable asks if you'd like to send an error report. This is great, because it lets me know what's going on. There have actually been a few bugs I've fixed during this beta that I knew about only through this--no support ticket, no email, just the automated error report. Thanks to those who decided to hit "Send".
For a full list of the fixes in this release, check out the what's new page.
Download the full EpicTable installer and run it. (No need to uninstall first.)
To those of you who have already installed the beta: My apologies--the auto-updater won't work for this release. My goal is to distribute updates automatically, so you don't have to visit this site to know that there are updates. Sadly, the approach I'd been using for that has turned out to be less reliable and less flexible than I'd hoped. I plan to replace it before the 1.0 release. In the meantime, I'll continue to distribute updates in installer form.
Thanks for your participation in the beta!
